The questions I get before someone buys.

  • Why a separate pre-visit form instead of bundling it into intake?

    Intake happens once; pre-visit happens before every telehealth session. Bundling them means the patient re-enters demographics every visit, which they will not do. A separate, lightweight pre-visit form gets completed because it asks for two minutes of work, not twenty.

  • Does this work with Zoom, Doxy.me, or our EHR's built-in video?

    Yes for any video platform that has a BAA. Zoom for Healthcare, Doxy.me, SimplePractice's built-in video, and most major EHRs are fine. Standard consumer Zoom or Google Meet without a BAA is not - the pre-visit kit will not pretend it is, and we will flag the gap on the setup call.

  • How does the identity verification work without storing sensitive info?

    The kit asks for date of birth and the last four digits of the phone number on file - both already in the EHR. It does not ask for SSN, driver's license, or full identifying detail. The clinician sees a 'verified' or 'mismatch' flag in their queue, not the raw answers, and the underlying response is retained per BAA.

  • What happens if the patient cannot complete the tech check?

    The kit routes a flag to the front desk one hour before the session for a phone call. Most failures are resolved in five minutes (clear browser cache, switch from Safari to Chrome, plug in headphones). Catching it an hour before session saves the slot.

  • Can this fire automatically from my calendar or scheduling tool?

    Yes. The Pro tier configures a calendar trigger from Google Calendar, Calendly, or SimplePractice scheduling. Done-For-You can also wire EHR scheduling triggers where supported. The pre-visit fires 24 hours before the scheduled telehealth visit without anyone clicking a button.

  • How is this different from hiring a generic Jotform freelancer?

    A generic freelancer will build the form. A Jotform HIPAA expert knows that the video platform needs its own BAA, that identity verification cannot rely on PHI in email bodies, that 'patient ready' signals must route to authenticated queues, and that the SMS provider for reminders needs a BAA too. The first three failure modes here are the ones I see most in setups inherited from generalists.
