Which plan should you pick?
Starter (free): testing only
Five forms, 100 submissions. Enough to prototype a workflow. Not enough to run one. Upgrade the moment it goes live.
Bronze: single-workflow operations
One donation form, one registration page, one lead capture flow. 25 forms is generous for focused use. 1,000 submissions covers most small-org traffic.
Silver: multi-workflow teams
100 forms, 10,000 submissions. Good for organizations running 3-5 active workflows simultaneously. Still no HIPAA.
Gold: the right answer for most

Enterprise: org-scale
SSO, custom domains, white-labeling, local data residency, dedicated support, and custom submission limits. If your IT team has requirements, this is the tier.

How much does Jotform cost?

Which Jotform plan do I need for HIPAA?
Gold or Enterprise. HIPAA compliance, including a signed BAA, is available starting at the Gold plan ($99/mo billed annually, $129 monthly). Bronze and Silver do not include HIPAA.
Is the Starter plan actually usable?
For a side project or a single contact form, yes. Five forms and 100 submissions per month is enough to test a workflow. The moment you take a payment or need conditional logic beyond basics, you will outgrow it fast.
What happens if I hit my submission limit?
Forms stop accepting submissions until the next billing cycle or until you upgrade. You get a warning email before the limit hits. No overage charges. The form simply disables.
Can I save money on Jotform?

Why do people on Reddit complain about Jotform pricing?
Three complaints show up repeatedly. First, surprise billing: people get charged yearly on top of a monthly plan because the annual add-on is selected by default during checkout, and it is not obvious how to remove it. Second, automatic plan upgrades: when you hit a limit mid-cycle, Jotform prompts you to upgrade, and some users report being upgraded without a clear confirmation step. Third, Enterprise pricing opacity: there is no published price, the quote process takes days, and the final number depends on negotiation. These are real friction points.
